A lot has been written about this hotel flap. Olive Press. Ronda Today. El Pais.But I got to be totally honest here. I don't believe this hotel will ever get built without a local Ronda partner. The current owner is German hotelier from Seville. By most reports, Jochen Knie is an experienced hotelier and a reasonable guy.
But the elephant in the room is that local Rondenos in power don't trust swaggering expats who snap up their local landmarks.
So what's the fix? Find a local partner, make it Ronda-led project, then build your damn hotel. All politics are local, Pablo!
